As part of putting up the Christmas lighting scheme for this year ‘City Illuminations’ (who have been commissioned by the Town Council) will be in the town again to do preparatory work on Sunday 27th October at 6pm until late (12’ish). They need to be able to do this work when the traffic is quiet, and will do their best to avoid unnecessary disruption, keeping the more invasive (and noisier) work to the first part of their schedule.

They will be in the High Street to finish a small section of ‘cross-street’ cabling for hanging the lights, and then if possible hang the lighting scheme in the High Street and Market Cross.

We hope they can complete the preparatory works on this occasion, assuming the weather permits good progress. The lights will be hung for a target switch on date of December 2nd.

Apologies on behalf of the town for any disruption in advance and please contact me if you have any concerns.
